Dr. Joachim Ott is team member of the procurement law team awarded by JUVE.

Joachim Ott grew up near Ulm and studied law at the University of Saarbrücken. During his studies, he completed an LL.M. course at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom with emphasis on international commercial law. Subsequently, he obtained his doctorate in Saarbrücken with a thesis on the cross references between insolvency law and execution law. At that time, he was an academic assistant in a Saarbrücken law firm. Joachim Ott completed his practical training at the Regional Court Ulm. Since 2019, he has been a lawyer at OPPENLÄNDER Rechtsanwälte.

Joachim Ott advises mainly in procurement law and procurement law interfaces to anti-trust law. He works for companies intending to participate as bidders in procurement proceedings but also on the side of public principals. He assists public principals in structuring legally secure procurement proceedings. Joachim Ott has particular experience in the conduct and defense of procurement review proceedings before the Länder and Federal procurement chambers and the procurement senates of the higher regional courts.

Joachim Ott regularly contributes to the procurement law discussion with publications. He regularly holds seminars on procurement law topics.
