Transport Associations
The future of mobility lies in the intelligent integration of transport. Even today, transport associations permit the common use of buses, trams and trains with a single ticket. The significance of integrated offers with a uniform ticketing system is continuously increasing in particular to cope with the mobility transformation. Intelligent mobility policies will involve expanding and digitalising (e-ticket) that transformation to modern forms of transport. We have considerable experience in the design and structuring of transport associations, for example from “mixed association“ to “local authority associations“ and the drafting of contracts within the association (e.g. apportionment of revenue, cooperation agreements etc.). We have adjusted a number of transport associations to the legal requirements arising from Länder, subvention and anti-trust law. We are, therefore, familiar with organising the apportionment of revenue from integrated tickets and the preparation of general rules under Reg. (EC) No. 1370/2007 (“maximum tariffs“). We are also experienced in the corporate law requirements on mixed associations as well as questions concerning the change of members as a result of tenders. We also advise on the further development of local transport plans in cities and regions to advance integration.
