Dr Maximilian Stützel is a new associated partner at OPPENLÄNDER

Dr Maximilian Stützel was appointed Associate Partner of OPPENLÄNDER as of 15 May 2025.

Maximilian Stützel started his legal career at OPPENLÄNDER Rechtsanwälte in 2021. He studied in Freiburg, where he also obtained his doctorate. During his studies, Mr Stützel spent a period abroad in Grenoble. Since joining us, he has worked in the public law team of Prof. Dr Christofer Lenz and Dr Corina Jürschik-Grau and has developed a focus on European state aid law.

We are delighted that he will be involved in the partnership’s business decisions as an associated partner.

idealo has achieved a significant victory against Google in the Berlin Regional Court. The court confirmed that Google abused its market power far beyond the date of the Commission's decision in order to favor its own price comparison service and ordered the US corporation to pay damages of over €465 million, including interest.
