Dr. Tobias Gawaz and Dr. Franziska Schaible have been appointed as associate partners. We would like to offer them both our warmest congratulations on this career milestone.
Dr. Tobias Gawaz studied law in Freiburg and Kraków. He began his legal career at OPPENLÄNDER Rechtsanwälte in 2022 in the antitrust law practice, having previously worked for the firm as a trainee lawyer. In 2025, he was awarded a PhD from the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg on the topic of ‘Substantive merger control in digital markets’. Since then, Tobias Gawaz has become a key member of our competition law team and plays a significant role in shaping its future development.
Dr. Franziska Schaible studied law in Freiburg and Barcelona. In 2021, she was awarded her doctorate from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg on the liability of auditors and the possibilities for limiting liability. Her practice focuses on litigation, and in recent years she has become an expert in the field of arbitration. With her litigation experience and international profile, she brings lasting strength to our team in commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings.
