Success at the Administrative Court

Our partner Dr. Torsten Gerhard, together with Dr. Henrike Schulte and Niklas Barnsteiner, successfully defended the first Corona decrees issued by the government of Baden-Württemberg.

Following the oral hearing on June 2, 2022, the Administrative Court ruled in three test cases that the temporary plant closures to combat the Corona pandemic in the months of March to June 2020 were proportionate. The Senate rejected corresponding norm control applications from companies in the gym, restaurant and retail sectors with extensive justification. The three rulings are the first main decisions of the Administrative Court in connection with the Corona ordinances of the state government. Click here for the detailed press release.
