OPPENLÄNDER has successfully represented the German Bundestag before the Federal Constitutional Court. In its decision on March 12, 2019, the Second Senate rejected a petition by the AfD parliamentary group against the German Bundestag as inadmissible. AfD wanted to ensure that a law passed by the German Bundestag could no longer be applied for the time being. The application for interim measures concerned the Act amending the Law on Political Parties. AfD had claimed that its rights had been violated in the legislative process. OPPENLÄNDER - Partner Prof. Dr. Christofer Lenz, as representative of the German Bundestag, countered that such an application was already inadmissible. This was followed by the Second Senate of the Federal Constitution.
