Albrecht Bach is a convinced European born in 1959 in Stuttgart. After his studies in Tübingen and Aix-en-Provence he worked as assistant to Prof. Dr. Wernhard Möschel. In connection with a report commissioned by the Monopole Commission, Albrecht Bach’s doctorate thesis in the area of European anti-trust law was written.

Albrecht Bach is among the leading German anti-trust lawyers. He commands the entire scope of that legal area and combines a solution-oriented approach with academic depth. He is honorary professor at the University of Mannheim teaching European competition law. Albrecht Bach is member of the management board of the Anti-trust Study Association and member of the anti-trust section of the American Bar Association. Albrecht Bach is an author in two leading commentaries on the Act Against Unfair Competition (in particluar, merger control and anti-trust procedural law) and author of many contributions on anti-trust issues. He is co-publisher of the periodical Neue Zeitschrift für Kartellrecht (NZKart).
