After his practical training in Dresden, Tübingen and New York, he achieved his doctorate at the Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen under Prof. Dr. Heinz-Dieter Assmann with a thesis on a corporate law subject. From 2003 to 2010, Felix Born worked at Gleiss Lutz Rechtsanwälte and in 2008/2009 on secondment at the international major law firm Herbert Smith in London.
