Dr. Jens Ritter is part of the JUVE-awarded OPPENLÄNDER team with broad expertise in public law.
Jens Ritter grew up near Karlsruhe and studied in Heidelberg. Thereafter, he worked there as an academic assistant at the Institute for German and European Administrative Law and obtained his doctorate with a thesis on European administrative law.

Expertise
Jens Ritter is at home in public law. The basis for his wide knowledge was laid already during his studies. He worked in public law-oriented academic chairs in Heidelberg, Mannheim and Saarbrücken. He contributed, inter alia, to a text book on environmental law and to publications on the subject of sustainability.
Jens Ritter has been admitted as a lawyer since 2020 and has successfully concluded the special qualification as lawyer for administrative law. He advises and represents clients in almost all areas of administrative law. The core of his expertise lies in environmental law and in construction and planning law. He is particularly fascinated by complex infrastructure projects at the nexus between environmental law and planning law.
