Dr. Thomas Kreuz is team member of the corporate law team awarded by JUVE.
Thomas Kreuz was born in Cologne, but at the same time feels connected to Frisian practicality through his time in Lower Saxony. He studied and earned his doctorate at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, where he laid the foundation for his interest in compliance consulting. Subsequently, he worked for more than a decade at two major German law firms and at a major Irish law firm (Mason Hayes & Curran) in Dublin. He has been with OPPENLÄNDER since 2023.
Thomas Kreuz is an experienced corporate lawyer with a focus on compliance and directors’ and officers’ liability, who keeps an eye on the optimal solution for his clients not only from a legal but also from a commercial point of view and supports them in their decisions by providing clear recommendations for action.

Thomas Kreuz has many years of experience in advising large international corporations and medium-sized companies on corporate law. He has broad experience in advising boards and board members, in particular also on business judgment rule options, as well as in extrajudicial and judicial shareholder disputes. One focus of his work is preventive compliance advice and the forensic clarification of compliance violations as well as the subsequent enforcement of board liability claims, whereby he also advises on interface issues of criminal law and D&O insurance law. In addition to advising limited liability companies and partnerships, he also provides comprehensive advice to cooperatives on cooperative law, including assistance with general and representative meetings. In his solution-oriented approach, he always keeps the client’s economic result in mind due to his pronounced economic know-how.
