Christoph Wolf was born in Tübingen and grew up in Reutlingen. He studied in Tübingen. For several years, he was academic assistant to Prof. Dr. Wernhard Möschel at the University of Tübingen and received his doctorate in 2008 there with a thesis on the nexus between intangible goods law and antitrust law. After his practical training station at the General Directorate Competition of the European Commission in Brussels, he was admitted in 2010 as a lawyer. Since then he has worked as a lawyer for antitrust law at OPPENLÄNDER.

Expertise

Christoph Wolf is an antitrust lawyer. His areas of expertise especially include competition damages proceedings and other civil disputes relating to competition law. Many of these cases have led to important landmark decisions. He also regularly assists clients with the out-of-court enforcement of antitrust damages claims. Christoph Wolf furthermore advises on the structuring and implementation of cooperation between competitors, for example in the context of research and development or standardization, production and procurement, as well as the design of distribution systems, antitrust compliance and merger control. His sector specialisms include the automotive industry, the chemical industry, the IT industry, the healthcare sector and public-sector enterprises.

Christoph Wolf is a member of the Board of the Competition Litigation Forum e.V. and a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht. He is the author of numerous specialist publications and regularly gives lectures on competition law topics. Among other things, he is co-author of the Schuster/Grützmacher Commentary on IT Law and the Rübenstahl/Hahn/Voet van Vormizeele Handbook on Competition Compliance.
