Construction freeze lifted by the city of Heidelberg

In response to an appeal by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs led by Dr. Jens Ritter and Dr. Maximilian Stützel, the Karlsruhe Regional Council has lifted the construction freeze imposed by the City of Heidelberg. This means that the state can continue to carry out the prepared renovation measures in order to prepare the historic building complex for use as a correctional facility. The decision is of considerable importance for the realization of the intended interim use. This is also underlined by the appreciation of the Minister of Social Affairs, who sees this as an important milestone in the realization of the correctional facility in Heidelberg.
