OPPENLÄNDER defends DSGV against antitrust damages claims (EC-Cash)

The eleven plaintiff groups had demanded a total of 150 million euros. The Berlin Regional Court awarded four plaintiffs around 1 million euros, i.e. 0.7 percent of the sum claimed. All other claims were dismissed in their entirety. In the case of the mineral oil companies, the court was unable to identify any damage relevant under antitrust law. Claims from before 2009 were already time-barred.

The DSGV was represented by Dr. Andreas Hahn (antitrust law), Dr. Martin Fink (antitrust law), Dr. Matthias Lorenz (litigation), Tobias Gawaz (antitrust law) and Simon Gollasch (antitrust law/ litigation).
